Paul Iverson

Paul Iverson

Paul graduated from Bagley High School in 1977 and North Dakota State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy in 1982. Paul moved to Bemidji in 1985 and, in 1990, purchased Iverson Corner Drug. Seeing the need for area patients to receive local pharmacist support for their home infusion needs he founded Progressive Health Care in 1994.

He is certified in asthma education, smoking cessation, and medication management. He is a past recipient of the American Pharmaceutical Association Patient Counseling Award, the Minnesota Pharmacists Innovative Practice Award, the Harold R. Popp award and many other professional awards.

Paul continues to be active in local, state and national pharmacy organizations and is a past-president of the Minnesota Pharmacists Association. He also served on the Minnesota Department of Health Asthma Task Force, the Office of Rural Health and Primary Care Commissioners advisory board, and the boards of the Minnesota Asthma Coalition.

Paul serves as a preceptor for students from North Dakota State University and the University of Minnesota and has delivered the commencement address to both colleges of pharmacy.

Jen Hazelton

Jen Hazelton

Jen was born and raised in Bemidji. She graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2008 with a Doctorate of Pharmacy degree. She has practiced at Progressive Health Care and Iverson Corner Drug since 2008. Jen is certified in immunization delivery and medication therapy management. She serves as a preceptor for pharmacy students at the University of Minnesota, North Dakota State University, and Creighton University. Jen is the treasurer for the Northwestern Affiliate of the Minnesota Society of Health-System Pharmacists and a member of the National Home Infusion Association. Her professional interests include pain management, palliative care/hospice, and infusion pharmacy.

Ryan Okerlund

Ryan Okerlund

Ryan was born in Bemidji and was raised in Little Falls. He graduated from North Dakota State University in 2003 with a Doctorate on Pharmacy, accompanied by a Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences and a minor in chemistry. He practiced in Park Rapids until late 2003, when he moved to Bemidji and started work at Iverson Corner Drug. Ryan also practiced in a hospital for five years prior to returning to Iverson Corner Drug. Ryan enjoys outdoor activities and is a member of the Bemidji Curling Club. He has also written two fictional novels, available at the pharmacy. He currently lives east of Bemidji with his wife, Kelly and their three children. Ryan’s special pharmacy interests include mental health and anti-coagulation.
